KASB Conference Call for Presentations now openScott Rothschild
KASB is proud to provide the highest quality educational leadership for boards of education in Kansas. The KASB Annual Conference is the association’s flagship event, providing intensive learning and networking experiences that bring together hundreds of Kansas board of education members, school district leaders and content experts.
The 2018 Call for Proposals is now open! KASB is seeking engaging, creative and thoughtful submissions from KASB MEMBERS. What are your success stories? What strategies are working? Mercury 7, Gemini I and Gemini II districts are strongly encouraged to submit a proposal!
Breakout Session Categories for 2018 are Advocacy/Community Engagement, Aligning to the Kansans Can Vision, Efficient and Effective Practices, Foundations of Boardsmanship, Policy/Legal, School Redesign and School Safety and Security.
Presenting at the KASB Annual Conference is a great way to tell your story! Take this opportunity to share best practices, effective strategies that lead to student success, and expand understanding of emerging issues in education. The best presentations honor the governance role of boards of education, include the voice of school board members and the leadership team and give participants time for interaction and questions.
The 60-minute presentations will be given on Saturday, December 1. At least one quarter of the program should be devoted to questions and answers. In designing your program, consider using any one of the following formats: single speaker, panel, or some other program structure. If there is more than one presenter, include all the information for everyone.
The deadline for submitting a proposal is July 13; we expect available slots to fill up early, so please submit your proposal as soon as possible!
