Be true to Kansas schools and attend KASB Fall Regional meetings

The Kansas education community has made great gains this past year and we must keep the momentum going.

The upcoming KASB Fall Regional meetings provide a perfect opportunity for education advocates to hear how school districts are implementing their vision of raising every student to success and to help form a pro-active education agenda for the coming year.

The meetings will offer the opportunity to learn about, share and discuss major school and community issues. The meetings will also help educators focus on preparing legislative goals that will improve Kansas schools and students.

Each meeting will feature one or more school districts in that region making a presentation on what they are doing to redesign their system and meet their vision. There also will be dinner, a presentation about the work of KASB’s Legislative Committee and a short video message from this year’s KASB president-elect designee candidate.

With the 2018 legislative session right around the corner and the political/election season already here, it is imperative that supporters of Kansas public schools be organized and informed to advocate for their issues.
