More than 500 school board members and other education officials from across Kansas will meet during KASB’s 100th annual conference, which runs from Friday through Sunday in Wichita.
The conference will feature numerous workshops, training sessions, school tours and vendor exhibits at the Hyatt Regency & Century II Convention Center and Bob Brown Expo Hall.
Keynote speakers on Saturday include Kansas Education Commissioner Randy Watson and Matt Beaudreau, an educator and expert on Millennials.
In addition, dozens of breakout sessions will be held covering a multitude of topics important to education advocates, such as a preview of the 2018 legislative session, building local partnerships, social media pitfalls and many more.
Begun in 1917, KASB is the leading voice in public education in Kansas, helping school board members and policymakers serve Kansas students. The theme of KASB’s 100 years of service is “Understanding Our Past; Imagining Our Future.”
