New Lt. Gov. Rogers to speak at Advocacy in Action ConferenceScott Rothschild
Lt. Gov. Lynn Rogers will be a special guest speaker at the Advocacy in Action Conference next week in Topeka.
The conference, a joint effort of KASB and United School Administrators of Kansas, will be held Wednesday and Thursday Jan. 16-17 at the Maner Conference Center in Topeka. To register, go here.
Rogers, a former state senator, who also served on the Wichita USD 259 school board for 15 years, will speak at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 in a conversation with KASB Executive Director John Heim.
Other highlighted speakers include Dr. Marcia Weseman and Susan Pinne, both with the Crittenton Children’s Center at Saint Luke’s Hospital, who will offer information on trauma-informed schools on Thursday, Jan. 17. Pinne is director of Trauma Smart at Crittenton Children’s Center and Weseman is a Trauma Smart trainer.
