The 2018-19 BOLD class of school district administrative leaders will learn about insurance, risk management, employer paid benefits, budgeting and working with school board members during a two-day meeting this week in Topeka.
The meeting will take place Thursday and Friday at Topeka USD 501’s Topeka Center for Advanced Learning and Careers and the KASB office.
BOLD stands for Business Operations Leadership Development; a project offered by KASB’s Leadership Services. The program focuses on enhancing skills and knowledge around building and facilities master planning, technology planning, finance strategies and planning, procurement processes, school security, risk management and human resources. Six sessions at locations around the state were developed by KASB leadership staff. KASB staff, experts from across the state and KASB partners lead the training at each of the sessions.
