Two school board members who impact local and state education policies through KASB will be speaking at the Wichita Area Chapter of Women for Kansas on Saturday.
Stan Reeser, a member of the Wichita USD 259 school board and regional representative on the KASB board of directors, and Leah Fliter, a member of the Manhattan-Ogden USD 383 board and advocacy and outreach specialist for KASB, will be the feature speakers.
The event starts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Advanced Learning Library.
As the June 3 filing deadline to run for school board approaches, Reeser and Fliter will talk about why they ran and serve on school boards, what are their biggest responsibilities, concerns and rewards.
