K-12 Education Budget Committee to discuss Continuous Learning PlansScott Rothschild
The House K-12 Education Budget Committee will conduct a remote meeting today (Tue. May 19) to discuss Continuous Learning Plans.
The meeting will start at 3:30 p.m. Here is a link to observe the meeting.
School districts statewide implement Continuous Learning Plans in March after Gov. Laura Kelly shut down school buildings for the remainder of the school year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Continuous Learning Plans have included a combination of online instruction, delivered lesson packets and small group teaching.
While the plans have gained praise and been copied by other states, most educators agree that some students will lose ground without the face-to-face classroom experience.
