KASB will conduct`Roadmap to Reopening’ school session on ThursdayScott Rothschild
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the upcoming school year in Kansas will be like none other in our state’s history, and KASB will start a series of workshops to help school board members and superintendents prepare for the fast-moving changes ahead.
“Roadmap to Reopening: Questions Education Leaders Should Address” will be held at 1:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Thursday (June 18). The online Zoom sessions are free, but registration is required. To register for the 1:15 p.m. session, go to this link, and to register for the 5:30 p.m. session, go to this link.
KASB experts will help education leaders in gathering information and input from community and staff that will form the foundation of plans to re-open schools, prepare for possible further closures and also provide a blended system of on-site and online learning.
In addition, KASB will assist in helping to develop communication and advocacy plans that will inform parents and the public about your districts’ timelines, processes and funding needs.
Now, more than ever, is the time for education leaders to unite in purpose and messaging. We hope you will join us to learn and share as we meet this challenge before us to provide the best experience possible for our students at a time of such uncertainty.
