KASB Leadership for Tomorrow traveling to Lakin, Garden CityScott Rothschild
The 2019 class of KASB Leadership for Tomorrow will be learning about school programs in Lakin in Garden City this week.
On Thursday, the group will hear presentations in Lakin USD 215 on school redesign at the grade, middle and high school levels.
On Friday at Garden City USD 457, the group will take a tour and hear presentations on numerous issues, including the teacher shortage, civic engagement and post secondary success.
Leadership for Tomorrow gives board members, superintendents and administrators time to participate in leadership skill training and expand their understanding of education key issues. Through five two-day sessions, the class visits local schools, hears classroom presentations and participates in discussions of issues and challenges facing Kansas education.
LFT’s next meeting will be held Dec. 5 in Wichita in conjunction with the KASB Annual Conference.
