Kansas Education Commissioner Randy Watson will be a special guest during the KASB Advocacy Update at noon Friday (Oct. 2) and will talk about the challenges school boards face in the reopening of school. To register for the meeting, go to this link.
Local school boards statewide have voted to open schools in a variety of ways to address challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to Watson’s appearance, KASB Advocacy staff will review developments on numerous education issues.
The meeting will be held online via Zoom. There is no registration fee, but pre-registration is required. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. The advocacy session is available to all who receive the KASB News Briefs, including board members, educators, advocates and media.
