KASB’s Aspiring Superintendents Workshop scheduled for Oct. 25 in Topeka, Oct. 26 in Hays

KASB Leadership Services will conduct two workshops this month for those wanting to become a school district superintendent.

The first Aspiring Superintendents Workshop will be held Thur. Oct. 25 in Topeka at the KASB office, 1420 SW Arrowhead, and the second one will be held Fri. Oct. 26 in Hays at the Holiday Inn Express, 4650 Roth Ave.

At the workshops, KASB Leadership staff, which conduct most superintendent searches in Kansas, will provide information about leadership models and styles, the search process, KASB’s online application, how to build a resume, how to avoid common interview errors, how to notify your supervisors and chose your references, the superintendent contact and the KASB/USA-Kansas partnership.

After the Topeka workshop, attendees will then join the Politics in Education conference, which will feature candidates and members of the media discussing the upcoming election and education issues.

To register for either workshop, go online to www.kasb.org/events or call 1-800-432-2471.
