January is School Board Recognition month

One of the great things about public schools is that they are governed by local school boards whose members you may see at the grocery store, church or a high school basketball game.

They live and work in the community, while also volunteering countless hours to help public schools and Kansas students.

January is School Board Recognition Month. That’s when education advocates can show their appreciation to these locally elected residents for their tireless efforts to advocate on behalf of each and every child in the local district.

KASB has numerous resources available to help celebrate School Board Recognition Month at this link. Please join us in giving a shout out to school board members through resolutions, news releases, the use of social media and more.
