Build Meaningful Connections with Students, Staff & Community

Over the past year, our members told us loud and clear communication is one of their biggest challenges and an area where they need support. In August 2022, KASB established a new role designed to grow the capacity of every district in the state to build trust through strategic communication and effective engagement with stakeholders. This will look different in every board and district, based on size and geography, as well as local challenges and opportunities.

Since hiring an award-winning school district communications professional in August, KASB has provided enhanced support to dozens of districts in times of crisis, as well as created proactive supports that help equip teams to communicate effectively from day to day.

All KASB members benefit from this expanded service, which includes strategic communications support in a crisis, media coaching, timely resources for statewide issues, and presentations at events and workshops. Season pass members can also access a growing suite of communications training courses anywhere and at any time through our growing online content center, KASB+.

As our communications services grow, we are excited to develop affordable customized services to meet the needs of districts of any size.
