Posted Date: 04/26/2024

Governor Laura Kelly signed into law SB 387 on Wednesday, a bill that continues the legislature’s commitment to the Gannon school funding agreement. Additionally, this bill allocates $75 million in new, much-needed state funding for Special Education.

“The enactment of SB 387 is good news for Kansas children,” said KASB Executive Director Dr. Brian Jordan. “This bipartisan compromise, reached after weeks of hard work by legislators and public-education advocates, is a shining example of how Kansans can work together to support student success.”
