

Dr. Brian C. Jordan is an experienced education leader and Kansas native who serves as Executive Director of the Kansas Association of School Boards. His career spans classroom teaching, building leadership, district administration, and statewide association leadership.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Kansas State University, his master’s degree in education administration from Emporia State University, and his doctorate in educational leadership from Kansas State University. His dissertation focused on school funding and accreditation.
At KASB, Dr. Jordan provides strategic direction, supports board governance, oversees association operations, and advocates for local school boards and public education across Kansas. Before becoming Executive Director, he served as Deputy Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director, leading leadership services, developing professional learning and board training programs, conducting superintendent searches, supporting strategic planning efforts, and working closely with school boards, superintendents, and district leaders throughout the state.
Dr. Jordan has trained thousands of board members on effective leadership, planning, and operations. His work centers on strengthening board-superintendent relationships, improving governance practices, supporting effective change in educational settings, and helping districts navigate leadership, personnel, evaluation, and organizational challenges. Dr. Jordan brings deep expertise in school finance and educational leadership to his daily work with educators and leaders in service of student success.
