Prepping for Negotiations

Join us for KASB's Day at the Statehouse on Wednesday, March 12 from 9 a.m - 4 p.m.
Come together with board members from across the state to tell the story of public schools at the Kansas Statehouse! Use your voice to advocate for KASB's key legislative priorities: public funds for public schools, fully fund special education, re-up the school finance formula, flexibility in at-risk funding, and recruitment and retention of your outstanding educators.

Safe Schools & Threat Preparedness
KASB is partnering with the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Safe and Secure Schools Unit, Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Kansas Attorney General’s Office and multiple federal agencies to provide regional school safety trainings and educational briefings.
The intent of these trainings is to coordinate information from local, state and federal partners to provide quality training and support to students and staff. Consultants from the Safe and Secure Schools Unit will provide these trainings across the state to cultivate connections and relationships between educators, school resource officers and local law enforcement officials.
